Bobby Turner Accepts Job In Washington.

January 13, 2010

An era is truly over in Denver. This morning it was announced that Denver Broncos running back coach, Bobby Turner would accept a job offer from Mike Shanahan in Washington to become Running Backs/Associate Head Coach.

Bobby Turner, like Rick Dennison, who accepted a promotion from Houston yesterday, was the only remaining coach from the Mike Shanahan era in Denver. His leaving marks the end of a full overhaul that has taken about a year, and will continue throughout the off-season.

Turner has been RB coach in Denver for 15-years during which time the team produced several 1,000 yard rushers including Terrell Davis, Clinton Portis, Mike Anderson and Tatum Bell. He is considered to be one of the greatest running back coaches of the decade, for his profound ability to slip almost anyone into the backfield and have them excel.

He will be sorely missed in Denver, and we wish him the best of luck as a Redskin!
