Scouting Report: Ndamukong Suh

November 28, 2009

Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska

Strengths: Has a gigantic frame … Good lower body strength … Has a good motor, and above average athleticism … Great agility … Plugs up holes … Best run stopper in the class … Collapses the pocket … Great instincts, which allow him to be explosive off the snap … Very versatile and can play multiple techniques … Good amount of upside.

Weaknesses: Isn’t great in pursuit of the Quarterback … Not very consistent with his leverage … Overall not a very good pass rusher … Occasionally is too high in stance … Isn’t very durable and has had multiple surgeries.

Overview: While some think that Ndamukong Suh is a one year wonder, he has shown every sign of being drafted in the top 5. He gives the impression of a great workout warrior, and has been very good during the season as well. For teams looking for a great run stopper early in the draft they should look no further, but they should know that he will rarely every get to the QB.
