Brandon Marshall to the Jets?

September 2, 2009

Editors Note: I will be gone the next two days up north for a wedding and won’t have any internet access. So if the following is true, and the Jets act within the next week, I will be very, very unhappy.

The New York Jets, according to Newsday, are looking much more seriously at a trade for disgruntled Broncos receiver Brandon Marshall. Marshall recently has been suspended for conduct detrimental to the team, just another incident in a long line of them.

“We tried to handle this situation with Brandon as privately and professionally as we could throughout the entire process with he and his agent, Kennard McGuire,” Denver coach Josh McDaniels said on Friday. “This morning, we made the decision as an organization to go ahead and suspend Brandon and that suspension will last through Sept. 5.”

According to Glauber of Newsday, the Broncos are still looking for a first round pick in return for him but the chance of the Jets giving up that much is low.

My honest opinion, is that while Brandon Marshall is still very talented he is not going to play to his full potential this year as a Bronco. Therefore keeping him to me, is verging on idiotic. He is an obvious distraction and won’t back up his talk on the field much like Chad Ochcocinco did last year with the Bengals.

I say trade him. I’m tired of him.
