Marshall Not At Morning Practices

July 28, 2009

imagesAs we continue through day 2 of training camp, The Denver Post is reporting that Brandon Marshall did not participate during during the morning practices. It was a light practice so this is especially surprising if it is related to his injury.

It could also potentially be related to his unhappiness right now with the Broncos and his trade request. Right now there isn’t much information on this, but if more comes up we will be sure to report it.

In other news, Wesley Woodyard and D.J Williams reported to practice today after missing Mondays’ practices due to injury. Woodyard was wearing a brace on his knee though.

Coach Josh McDaniels will meet with reporters after practice and, hopefully, will explain Marshall’s absence from the workout. We will probably be covering it on our twitter page so keep it there for even more live updates from Bronco Madness.com.

UPDATE: Head Coach Josh McDaniels told reporters after practice that the coaches held Marshall out of practice because the receiver was “sore.”

“Precautionary measures, nothing more than that,” McDaniels said. “It was a coaching decision, and when they’re ready and healthy and we feel good about where they’re at they will be out on the practice field.”

Wide Receiver Lucas Taylor was also held out of practice.
