Olsen Confirmed-Grimes Waived

July 23, 2009

Earlier today we reported that according to rotoworld.com 4th round Offensive Guard Seth Olsen and the Denver Broncos reached an agreement on a contract. It had not yet been confirmed by the Broncos organization but it has now, according to denverbroncos.com.

“Olsen, the 132nd overall pick in April’s draft, started 34 games at the University of Iowa, seeing time at both guard positions and right tackle for the Hawkeyes. As a senior in 2008, the 6-foot-5, 308-pounder earned first-team All-Big Ten honors after starting 11 games for the school at right guard,” according to the official website, denverbroncos.com.

It is a a four-year contract, including a $415,000 signing bonus but no more details would be released.

In other news, Wide Receiver David Grimes who was an undrafted free agent from Notre Dame was waived today, we assume to make room for our new draft picks. Expect more cuts like these coming and for more on David Grimes and other Wide Receivers you can view our 2009 previews which we are releasing every single day.
