Marshall To The Browns?

June 16, 2009

Denver Broncos disgruntled and troubled wide receiver Brandon Marshall has officially asked for a trade and there is also talk that the Broncos will allow him to leave. He even put a post up on his blog stating that he felt it was time for change.

Yesterday there were rumors surfacing that he could potentially end up in Baltimore with Joe Flacco. Now, there are rumors that he could end up in Cleveland according to ProFootballTalk.coms’ own Mike Florio.

Right now the package looks it will include Wide Receiver/Kick Returner Josh Cribbs, not Braylon Edwards another Wide Receiver who is also looking to get out of Cleveland. There would also be a bundle of draft picks as well.

Josh Cribbs set the franchise record for kickoff returns (61) and kickoff return yardage (1,494) in a single-season in 2006. He has also recorded two Kick Returns for a Touchdown, one against Detroit on Oct. 23 and another and another Pittsburgh on Nov. 19, 2006.

Cribbs in his career has only 153 receving yards but is still considered as one of the best Kick Returns in the NFL. He would play along side Eddie Royal both on the Offense and Special Teams. The two would make one of the fastest Special Teams in the NFL.

It looks like Brandon is good as gone… Facts are facts.

This would go down as the worst trades in franchise history and would set the franchise back even more. All we had to do was fix the defense, but McDaniels couldn’t swallow his pride and decided to get rid of the best offensive weapons on the team to settle for what……….Josh Cribbs and Kyle Orton lol? I can’t believe this is even happening. And Pat Bowlen needs to step in when needed and stop letting this guy ruin this franchise!!!!!!!!

you’re right LaMont, this would be a terrible trade but this is what rebuilding is. and don’t forget, we could potentially have a 1st and 3rd round pick packaged with Cribbs. still, i would rather have braylon.

but would you rather have cutler over orton, robert ayers, alphonso smith, richard quinn and next years 1st round pick? i personally am fine with how this trade has panned out so far. we got what we wanted. they got what they wanted.

Im through with it, Josh Mc missup is killing this team. We’ll see if his coaching can makeup for the lack of talent we’re about to have. If he doesn’t im sure the fans will run him out of town, cause im sure that i will be the first to boo his butt in the stands this year. Let the BASHING begin… WE DONT NEED NO DRAFT PICKS. How old do he think Champ and dawkins is! These rookies hadnt even proven themselves and no one esle has from last yr. we stunk up the whole season last yr and he’s coming in doing worst in the offseason. What a shame… Hire me as the GM, i can fix this…
