Broncos Sign 14 College Free Agents

April 30, 2009

The Broncos have stayed busy even after the end of the draft, quickly agreeing to terms with 14 college free agents.  And, while they missed out on addressing some key needs in the draft, they did attempt them through college free agency.

The Broncos have agreed to terms with three defensive lineman, three linebackers, two cornerbacks, four wide receivers, a fullback, and a place kicker.

Among the defensive lineman are DE Rulon Davis and DT Chris Baker, who were seen as two of the better CFAs available after the draft.  The kicker, Britton Colquitt of Tennessee, was brought in presumably to offer Matt Prater some competition.

Here are them all:

Kestahn Moore, running back, Florida
David Grimes, wide receiver, Notre Dame
Travis Shelton, wide receiver/safety, Temple
Lucas Taylor, wide receiver, Tennessee
Nate Swift, wide receiver, Nebraska
Marquez Branson, tight end, Central Arkansas
Stanley Bryant, offensive tackle, East Carolina
Marcus Gordon, offensive tackle, Kentucky State
Rulon Davis, defensive end, California
Everette Pedesscleaux, defensive end, Northern Iowa
Chris Baker, nose tackle, Hampton
DJ Johnson, cornerback, Jackson State
Tony Carter, cornerback, Florida State
Lee Robinson, inside linebacker, Alcorn State
Britton Colquitt, punter, Tennesssee
