With the 14th pick in the fourth round, the Denver Broncos selected David Bruton, a safety out of Notre Dame. Bruton, listed at 6-2 and 210, was a two year starter for the Irish, totaling 176 tackles and 7 interceptions. He is believed to be a solid centerfield type safety, who can make a positive impact in the run game, as well as in special teams.

At this point in the draft, this is a very good value pick for the Broncos. They have continued to solidify their veteran secondary, with Bruton being their third secondary player picked in this year’s draft. The Broncos pick next at #32 in round four.

The Broncos are one of those organizations that have a system to plug players into. It’ll be interesting to see now though with the QB questions.

By the way, I’m trying to find out if more fans prefer ESPN or NFL Network for coverage. Click educlaytion if you want to weigh in on the debate.
