Chris Simms Signed By Broncos

Chris Simms

The Broncos have now officially filled their hole at backup QB and to do so we have signed Chris Simms formerly of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers otherwise known as the son of Phil Simms who kicked our butts in a previous Super Bowl.

The Tennessean and Bill Williamson announced this after he visited us earlier in the week. I personally have always liked Chris Simms and have thought that he underachieved his entire career. But it won’t matter as long as Jay Cutler stays healthy.

Simms will replace free agent Patrick Ramsey as Denver’s backup signal-caller. New Denver coach Josh McDaniels opted against re-signing Ramsey after his injury earlier in the season. He is just another of the many free agents we have signed.

We don’t know what this means for backup QB Darrell Hackney’s future with the team but it does not look good. Also on another note, I removed the Free Agent Tracker on the top of the page because it was taking up too much space. It will from now on not be updated. Sorry but you’ll have to keep it here on the blog just for this.

Know what I like about this move? Simms senior may have destroyed the Broncos in the Super Bowl, but his son is only good enough to be the back up for the Broncos.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it, Phil.
