Jay Cutler In Trade Talks?

Jay Cutler

I don’t believe it. Well I do. But I don’t believe he will be traded. Jay Cutler our star Pro Bowl Quarterback has been involved in trade talks according to Adam Schefter of the NFL Network. Apparently the Patriots and Buccaneers wanted a three way trade for Cassell and Cutler and we denied.

Good for us. But that said, it does worry me. First off, it shows that maybe Jay Cutler and Josh McDaniels aren’t the best of friends right now. Second, it shows the lack of trust in the Shanahan era that McDaniels have. Third, it shows that both McDaniels and Cutler are being jerks, and fourth it shows how full of crap Vic Lombardi is.

Because, Vic Lombardi is saying we are shopping him. Which is by all means NOT TRUE!!!! So anybody who says he is should not be considered a journalist. But here is the thing guys, whenever you bring a new coach in town, they would like to choose their own QB.

Josh McDaniels is no different. He probably would have done it by now if Jay Cutler hadn’t attended a Pro Bowl and wasn’t beloved by all Broncos fans and considered the future of this franchise. Just the fact that Xanders and McDaniels didn’t break out in profanity when the Bucs called him up shows that this option is out there.

Jay Cutler quoted “I’ve heard the rumors. I know what they’re trying to do. Even though I love Denver and I’d love to remain a Bronco, I know how this business works. If they want me to play somewhere else, so be it.” If I were Jay Cutler I would have ignored it but he is pretty media savvy and I am not surprised he didn’t.

This will not happen so don’t worry but it will always be out there. If you people need a little history lesson here is one: When Mike Shanahan came, there were rumors of us trading John Elway to the Redskins after Elway had the worst season of his career. We even drafted a QB in the first round in Tommy Madoux.

So stuff this in the back of your mind and forget about it until/if it happens. Don’t be surprised and also expect this to be mentioned at today’s press conference. So keep it here on Bronco Madness as we follow this story and other ones like it all weekend.

Oh and one more thing, if we trade him I hope that you join me in demanding Josh McDaniels and Brian Xanders immediate resignation from the franchise.

    Brian Xanders just said this.

We are not trying to trade Jay Cutler. We will not trade Jay Cutler. He’s a Pro Bowl Quarterback. You can ask Josh McDaniels, and he’ll tell you the same thing.

Vic Lombardi is definitely full of crap, because these were desparate prayers, not actual trade possibilities. The reason? Neither the Bucs or Lions even talked to the Patriots. While this happened, Cassel was on his way to KC. no need to worry at all.

What a baby. Let him go..it is not about one man it is about a team. If he gets upset at even a mention like that let him go the big baby.
