Patrick Turner Elected Not To Run a 40 Yard Dash

Today’s combine has continued and some interesting things have happened. For instance Wide Receiver Patrick Turner of USC elected not to run the 40 Yard Dash. We all knew that he wasn’t the fastest but this really makes us question if he could be a real NFL player with his weak speed.

Pat White so far has looked excellent. He has had the highest Vertical Jump, and 40 Yard Dash of any other Quarterback and so far we don’t have his marks for the Broad Jump which I think he will excel in too. He also has looked fantastic on his throwing drills. He made some great passes all day.

Some people that stood out in different ways included Louis Murphy who had some great catches along with Brian Robiskie. Also Chris Wells had a great performance on the broad jump as he jumped for a 10’8″. He looked very good there. Jeremy Maclin had a weak 40 time in comparison to his past runs. He only had a 4.40 compared to his all time best a 4.31.

Finally Rashad Jennings from Liberty had an amazing Bench Press for a Running Back. He lifted 29 consecutive times and looks to be the second strongest Running Back in the draft second to only Tony Fiammetta who is a Fullback. Jennings has really impressed me the last few months and might be a giant sleeper in the draft.
