“The Beast” Has High Hopes For The Broncos

January 30, 2009

The Beast

“Broncos in Super Bowl XLIV,” Marshall said. “Marshall, the Broncos’ Pro Bowl wide receiver, made the rounds on radio row at the Super Bowl media center, and said he envisioned what it would be like to be here as a participant and not just a spectator” according to the Denver Post.

“It brings excitement to me just being involved in some of these activities now, and the festivities here at the Super Bowl. Watching guys do interviews, for the Cardinals and the Steelers, I’m just starting to imagine how it’s going to be for me when we get there,” Marshall said to the Post.

High hopes indeed. But is it impossible? No. With a Pro Bowl QB, two star Wide Receivers, a great Defensive Coordinator with an amazing plan for how our defense will look and an off-season filled with hope and opportunity it seems that the Broncos could do just about anything.

“I don’t think it’s a question of ‘if’ we’re going to get there. It’s ‘when’ we’re going to get there.” Apparently Josh McDaniels has instilled a bit of hope in Marshall too. “He said we’re going to score a lot of points,” Marshall said. “Coach, I hope that’s not putting any pressure on you, but that’s what he told me — we’re going to score a lot of points.”

Right now, Marshall has not been in Denver and not met McDaniels in person so they can start mapping out this Super Bowl run. He has been practicing with some players from his college the University of Central Florida and hopes to check in with the team soon.

Or at least after his time in the Pro Bowl is done. He also says that if he scores a Touchdown he might have a special little celebration saved. “You know I’m always up to something,” Marshall said. That is true Brandon. And maybe it could be getting ready for a 2009 Super Bowl run.
