The Broncos have added yet another name into running for the Head Coaching position for the Broncos. Todd Bowles is the Assistant Head Coach/Defensive Backs coach of the Miami Dolphins and is disciple of Bill Parcells.

Bowles will interview with Owner Pat Bowlen and the other Denver Broncos brass on Thursday, Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports.

For some reason that for the time being I do not totally understand, Todd Bowles is a hot name to become the Head Coach of an NFL Franchise. What I have heard of him is good but he just does not have the experience that a lot of Head Coaching Candidates across the league have today.

He joined the Dolphins after eight years as an NFL assistant, including three years with the Dallas Cowboys. Bowles apparently helped the Dolphins secondary tally four more interceptions in 2008 than 2007 in his first year with the team. I know that that is obviously good but compared to some of the other guys we are interviewing it seems a bit trivial.

Bowles is also in the running for the Head Coaching jobs in both St. Louis and Detroit. I like the idea of adding another Defensive Minded coach to the running but this choice does surprise me. While he has improved the Dolphins secondary the best guy they have is Will Allen. You can see his biography here.
