As Expected, Roster Moves Are Made

October 27, 2008

Last week I reported that there would be a large amount of roster moves on Monday. All of which it turned out to be true.

Chad Jackson, a Free Agent and former second round pick of the New England Patriots was signed. People know that I like his skill set and think that he could be great here in Denver.

Tackle Matt Murphy was also signed as Erik Pears was placed on the Reserve/Non-Injured list. Cornerback Josh Bell was promoted from the practice squad which was not rumored last week.

Also unexpectedly Greg Eslinger was put on our practice squad. I am not sure why because we seem fine at the position and there are other players who could be added to the squad.

Eslinger was drafted by us in 2006 but later cut in 2007. In between then and now he has been spending time on the Cleveland Browns active roster and the Texans practice squad.

Also Cornerback Rashod Moulton was added to the practice squad. He was an un-drafted rookie out of Fort Valley State University.

That means that we still need one cut on the active roster. BroncoTalk pointed out that Andre Hall could possibly be one. I had not thought of that but it could be a good decision.
