The Bailey Brothers Are Out

October 21, 2008

This could be the most upsetting thing that I have heard about the Broncos in recent time. Both Champ Bailey and Boss Bailey are going to be out for a good amount of time it seems according to a new report via Rocky Mountain News.

Linebacker Boss Bailey, who had already dealt with the effects of a severely sprained ankle since training camp, is expected to miss the remainder of the year with a knee injury. Tests revealed enough damage where Bailey may require microfracture surgery in the coming days. So that is bad news. He has been great and I am upset that he went down that way.

Champ Bailey will be out for a month or 3 games. Champ Bailey, who suffered a groin injury in the first half of Monday’s game, went for a magnetic resonance imaging exam Tuesday and is expected to miss at least a month and possibly longer. Jack Williams and Dre’ Bly will be replacing him.

The Broncos will probably move Boss to the injury reserve and are in the hunt for a new Linebacker. Here is what I think we do. Move Jarvis Moss to Linebacker to play as the 4 Linebacker. Afterwards we need to get Wesley Woodyard to play in replacement of Boss Bailey. If Moss succeeds than they switch positions. I think it sounds good.

Hopefully these two brothers can heal as soon as possible and that we can have Champ Bailey return to the field soon.

Obviously this is devastating for any Bronco fan. Hopefully they will be able to regroup during the bye week.

I think we can and if this was to happen this was a good time to do it. Oh and GO MIZZOU! (I am a big fan).

Always great to find a fellow Tiger fan! I went to school there.

I agree the bye came at a great time, and we should be able to bounce back.
