Marshall Pleads Guilty To DWAI

September 12, 2008

While it is good news for one of our Wide Receivers today as Eddie Royal won rookie of the week, Brandon Marshall did not have such a good day.

Marshall pleaded guilty to DWAI (or while ability impaired) in connection with an October 2007 drunken driving arrest. He had a trial by jury in a couple of days had he pled innocent.

“According to Lynn Kimbrough, spokesman for the District Attorney’s Office, Marshall was sentenced to 12 months probation and all of the usual terms and conditions: 24 hours of community service, a level II alcohol treatment program, attending a victim impact panel and costs, fines and fees that total $1,132.” The Denver Post said about it.

As you all know this was just another thing that Marshall was caught doing this Off-Season as he was a big distraction. I am just glad he told the truth and pled guilty to this. It saved me the trouble of covering the trial for you guys.

Marshall’s blood alcohol level was reported to be .116 when he was stopped in LoDo. For those of you who don’t know Denver considers DUI to be anything over .08. Not good.
