Dylan Gandy Signed By Broncos

May 16, 2008

For a one year deal former Colt’s offensive lineman Dylan Gandy signed with the Broncos today.

Gandy has received interest from about 6 teams but he finally signed to the Broncos today. What closed it for him was the system. It is a great fit due to the fact that the Broncos like quick and agile linemen. Gandy fits the bill for that job and the deal came to a close at last.

Gandy was a former 4th round pick from Indy and started 11 times during their Super Bowl run after Ryan Lilja was injured.

He played well and raised his stock as a restricted free agent. He was re-signed by the Colts but things fell apart.

The Colts drafted multiple young powerful offensive guards in the NFL Draft. They had to drop him even after he was signed to another 1 year $927,000 offer.

The Broncos need more talent on the line to protect Jay Cutler. He was recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Let’s face it. We don’t want anything worse to happen to out offense.
