New Changes

April 2, 2008

This week Mike Shanahan held a press conference to discuss some of the off-season changes that ad taken place.

He first announced that D.J Williams had now officially been moved to weak side linebacker. Mike Shanahan mentioned how well he did last year at MLB but he felt it was more natural for him on weak side.

ShannyShanahan said that he hoped with some of the moves we made that we had closed the gap between us and the Chargers in the AFC West.

He said at this point in the season the O-line would look like Tom Nalen would be at center, Ben Hamilton and Montrae Holland at left and right guards and Chris Kuper at left tackle and Erik Pears at right tackle. Though this would probably change.

Keary Colbert was mentioned by Shanahan. He claimed that he reminded him of Ed McCaffery who career didn’t skyrocket until he joined the Broncos.

The firing of Ted Sundquist he said was a very hard decision that took time to decide.

When asked if the Raiders would close in on them he said that only time would tell implying that he thought they were still not as good a team as the Broncos.
