Broncos To Open Against Raiders

The Rocky Mountain News announced today that the broncos would play the second half of Monday Night Football against the Raiders.

PALM BEACH, Fla. — The Broncos will be part of the league’s prime-time schedule to open the 2008 season.

The Broncos will play in Oakland on Monday, Sept. 8, in the second-half of a Monday Night Football doubleheader to open the season. Kickoff will be 8:15 p.m. Mountain. The first game of the night will pit the Minnesota Vikings vs. the Green Bay Packers. Both games will be televised by ESPN.

The Washington Redskins will play the New York Giants in New York on Thursday, Sept. 4, as the season’s first game. In the first Sunday night game, on Sept. 7, the Chicago Bears will visit the Indianapolis Colts in the first game in the new Lucas Oil stadium in downtown Indianapolis.

The complete schedule for each NFL team will be released later this month.
