Welcome to Denver Derrick

February 11, 2008

As all NFL teams begin trimming the fat over sized rosters and replacing the players they lose with young stars of the future and or experienced veterans we as well begin signings. Lets begin with WR Derrick Hamilton. A lot of us may remember this name from the 2004 draft when he was drafted out of Clemson in the third round by the 49ers.

In his first pro season he was reduced to only 2 games. By his second season he was out for the season with a devastating leg injury, and by 2006 he was out of the league. He spent most of last season on practice squads for both the Houston Texans and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

But for every gain there must be a loss. That would be Warrick Holdman a linebacker who we acquired last off-season from free agency. He played none of the season after having a season ending spinal cord injury early in training camp last season. All transactions were announced on Monday.
