Exclusive Draft Profile: Everette Brown

Everette Brown

Name: Everette Brown

Position: Defensive End

School: Florida St.

Height & Weight: 6-4 / 252

Class: Junior

What I Think: Coming out from college is a very questionable move and I have to question how good of a move it was for a player like Brown. He has excellent athleticism and great speed and quickness for a 4-3 Defensive End but in the 3-4 would have to move to Outside Linebacker. He is explosive with excellent first step quickness. Brown is agile with good change of direction. He also has big hands and he uses them well. Brown also has a varied repertoire of pass rushing moves on Offensive Linemen. He can be either effective on the outside or the inside when pass rushing. He has above average strength as well as a very good motor that seems to never stop. Brown is great at pursuing defenders and makes a lot of plays behind the line of scrimmage. Brown also serves as a team leader and is very productive. Either way, he still has not the ideal height or bulk that you may look for in a player. Also it is very likely for him to make a position change. I would not be too interested in him as a Bronco because he has trouble standing up well against the run. Brown is also quite raw and is not very good in coverage. Well actually he might be good but he just hasn’t been tested enough to know. Also Brown is a little inconsistent. The fact that he has only marginal instincts and awareness will also hurt him at the next level.
