Injury Situation Looks Much Better
Broncos fans were shocked a few days ago as it seems that their entire offense fell on crutches. With Royal, Scheffler, and Young all injured their was some worry stirring up at Invesco Field.
Luckily Mike Shanahan did present us with an injury update, something out of the usual for the usually quiet coach when it comes to injuries. He quoted “Usually I don’t share that with you guys, obviously, but since you guys have been such a good group of guys (being) 1-4 would be a lot different.”
Simply he said first that Scheffler and Young did not look like they would get to play this next week. He did indicate on the other hand that they may be back at Week 7 against New England. He made clear that Scheffler would not be out for the season.
Eddie Royal is probable so it looks definite that he will play this next week. He had a strained ankle and having him back will not put such a load on Cutler this next game against the Jaguars.
There was nothing about Ryan Torain mentioned in the Press Conference. He did add on the other hand that Ebenezer Ekuban had strained his groin also. There was not worry though. He is probable for next week also.
All good news and I can’t wait to get them all back out on the field so we can continue this playoff run.
